Research Abstract |
The purpose of this research project is to develop new technologies based on superior biological functions under the coorperation with professors of Florida Atlantic University. Sumary of the research results is as follows : 1. Measurement of biological functions Movement and its control of the findings and the jaws, electric properties of the tissue, biological effects of electro magnetic fields, and signal source activities in the brain were measured to evaluate biological functions from viewpoints of new technology development. A new real time measurement system for biological movement and a new EEG measurement system for biological source localization were developed. 2. Signal processing based on biological functions. A new algorithm for spatiotemporal signals has been developed after evaluating the integrating functions of the brain which include adaptive learning and recognition of multidimensional signals, and adaptive cooperation and control. 3. Development of applied systems. Based of the biological functions, a self-learning pattern recognition system and a multidimensional integrated control system, and their applications were developed. 4. Symposium International mini-symposium were held every year to discuss research results and plans with foreign researchers in cooperation.
