| Research Abstract |
本課題では,内部遷移層によって仕切られた領域の時間的変動現象の数理科学的な解明を目指して,研究を推進している.2つの内部遷移層の運動形態に対応して,静止パルス解・パルス進行波解・同期脈動波解の存在が従来から知られていた.さらに,脈動しながら伝播する進行脈動波解の存在が数値計算結果からの予測としてすでに知られていた.パルス進行波解は静止パルス解からスタティック分岐によって発生し,同期脈動波解は静止パルス解からホップ分岐によって発生することは理論的にも示されている.したがって,
分岐パラメータの変化に伴い,パルス進行波解がホップ分岐によって不安定化し,その代わりに,安定な進行脈動波解が現れる
という枠組みがアナロジーとして予測される.平成9年度は,上記の枠組みが正当であることを厳密に示すことを目標に研究を推進し,部分的ではあるが,つぎのような研究成果を得た.
双安定な活性抑制因子反応拡散方程式系を,詳細な解析を進めるために,区分的に線形な非線形性の下で考える.この反応拡散系には「緩和時間の比」と「安定平衡状態の吸引力の比」がパラメータとして含まれている.非線形性が奇対称に近くなるように,すなわち,「吸引力の比」を1に近い値に固定して,「緩和時間の比」を変化させてゆくと,安定なパルス進行波解がホップ分岐によって不安定化する.
なお,上記の成果は,区分的に線形な非線形性を持つ双安定な反応拡散系のパルス解の大域的な分岐構造を明らかにすることによって得られたものである.
