| Research Abstract |
ハイベロンと核子間の近距離相互作用について実験的研究を行い、以下のことが平成10年度に達成できた。
1. ハイペロンと核子間に働くスピン軌道力を研究するために米国Brookhaven国立研究所(BNL)のAGS加速器実験施設(AGS)にて^<13>C(K^-,π^-γ)^<13>_AC反応を測定する実験を行った。平成10年4月から5月の実験準備期間にAGSのビームラインと電磁スぺクトロメータの調整、γ線検出器の輸送と組み立て調整、^<13>Cターゲットの製作と較正、データ収集システムの準備を行った。実験データは平成10年6月から7月の2ケ月間に渡って収集し、ほぼ予定通りのデータ量を得ることが出来た。データ解析は順調に進んでおり結果の一部を公表した。
2. 近距離での相互作用が重要となるハイペロン・核子の弱相互作用を調べる実験を国内の大阪大学核物理研究センター(RCNP)およびカナダのTRIUMF研究所にて計画しているが、実験に必要な円筒型ドリフトチェンバー、シリコンマイクロストリップ検出器等の測定器開発とバックグラウンド軽減のための準備研究を開始した。測定器プロトタイプを用いて試験的な実験をRCNPにて行い、実験データの解析を行った。
