| Research Abstract |
今年度は、米山が文部省長期海外研修でオーストラリアに、菅野が学部長で公務に忙しく、また沖野が学術振興会の長期海外研修で米国に滞在とこの計画に参加できず、残りのメンバーで計画を実行した。したがって、日本側3名(柳沢、吉田、山根)が農産物の高度利用に絞って、6月3-9日にタイ国チェンマイ市郊外山岳地帯のロイヤルプロジェクト農園2ヶ所などを訪問した。ここでは吉田が農水省時代に送ったモモなど果物の木々を見た。またその栽培技術について意見交換した。さらにミャンマー国境の山岳民族の村を訪問し、昔モルヒネの素になっていたケシの栽培地帯―現在電照菊の栽培地帯を訪問した。
タイ側1名(Somvong Tragoonrung)は7月28日―8月3日日本国の宇都宮大学ならびに東京農工大学を訪問した。ついで筑波の農水省の稲ゲノムプロジェクトを訪問し、遺伝子研究の現場を見学した。タイ側1名(Saichol Ketsa)は10月9-16日に日本国奈良市で行われた日本園芸学会大会に出席した。さらに吉田、山根と共に大阪府立大学を訪問した。お互いに、本研究についての理解を深め、花類については老化の働きをするエチレンの発生に関与する酵素の遺伝子についての共同研究を開始した。
