Research Abstract	・並列計算機理論モデルの検討と実現可能性:現在までに提案されている理論モデルを整理し,同期性,通信方式,抽象度等の点から比較検討し,実現可能性を探った.今年度は,昨年度行なったPRAMの実現可能性を明らかにする目的で,PRAMの共有メモリヘのアクセス方法に対するアルゴリズムの開発とその性能評価に引続きそのアルゴリズムのチップ化のための詳細設計を行なった.また,PRAMのプロセッサ部を効率良く実現するためのCPUアーキテクチャを設計した(研究発表(13)). ・並列アルゴリズムパラダイムの検討:並列アルゴリズムの最終目的は究極の高速化であるが,プロセッサの効率的な利用も重要な要素である.本研究では新しい現実的な理論並列計算機モデルの構築をも目的としているため,比較的モデルに依存せずに議論できるパラダイムの検討を行なっている.今年度は,PRAMモデル,再構成メッシュモデルのうえで基本的な問題に対する並列アルゴリズムを与えた.特に,凸包に対する並列アルゴリズムのパラダイムを明らかにし,VLSIに適したプレフィックス計算等のアルゴリズムを与えている(研究発表(2),(3),(9),(10),(11),(12))また,分散環境における効率的な協調のための種々のアルゴリズムを考察した.ここでは,無線ネットワークにおける効率的なリーダー選出問題に対する確率的アルゴリズムやマルチエージェントシステムの効率的な協調アルゴリズムなどを与えている(研究発表(1),(4),(5),(6),(7),(8)).
