Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to try the establishment of study method claryfing the relation between conscious-image and unconscious-image. In the case of studying the role of image in art education, two study methods have been dominant. One is analytical psychology, the other is cognitive psychology. The former typical study is H.Read's 'education through art' , the latter is N.Smith's study influenced by J. Piaget. However, two methods have been separated and not connected each other. In this study, I could clarify the reason why Read had changed his study method from S. Freud's method to C.G Jung's method. And, I examined the resemblance between physiognomic perception of child and primordial image. Then, I considered it is necessary to use both analytical psychology and cognitive psychology, in the case of studying the image of child.
