Research Abstract	第8回国際南極地学シンポジウム(NZ),内陸変動帯シンポジウム(豪州)、IGCP-368中国研究集会(宣昌)参加、及びインド科学者の日本招聘により、東ゴンドワナの原生代事件に関する世界の研究動向に関する情報を得ることができた。また、インド中央構造帯の地質野外資料の収集、サウディアラビアにおけるフィールドワークショップ準備も行われた。科学研究費補助金はほぼ当初の予定に従って全額が効率的に使用され、当初予定の研究成果を得ることができた。主な研究成果を下の記す。 (1)インド中央構造帯(CITZ)はA.北西部のインド北楯状地西縁のアラバリ・デリー帯、B.中央部の南北インド楯状地の間を走る狭義のCITZと、C.南東部のインド南楯状地東縁の東ガート帯に区分される。それぞれの地帯はさらに、その地帯構造に平行して2帯あるいは3帯の特徴ある構造分帯が認められる。この巨大構造区分・構造分帯の、ゴンドワナテクトニクスにおける意味について検討中である。 (2)アラバリ・デリー帯と狭義のCITZに関する年代学および岩石学研究は大変に遅れていることがわかった。このため、北部デリー帯の花崗岩の岩石学的年代学的研究と、CITZ中央部サコーリ帯とサウサー帯の年代学的研究を開始した。花崗岩類からは、メソ原生代のモナザイト化学年代を、サコーリ帯の塩基性岩から、約30億年と23億年のSm-Nd同位体年代を得た。 (3)東ガート帯で最近確認された14億年、10億年、8億年、5億年の年代の意味について、研究者間の解釈が異なっており、変形・変成事件史と同位体年代の結び付けについて詳しい吟味が開始されたところである。この吟味については、ジルコンやモナザイトのEPMA化学年代法が効果的であると判断され、この手法の確立に向けて努力中である。
