新規評価法に立脚するアルミナ焼結体の破壊源形成原因の直接的解明と強度変動抑止

Research Abstract	本研究者の開発した新規評価法がセラミックス製造時の破壊源やその形成過程を具体的に解析する能力を有することに着目し、まずこれを駆使してアルミナセラミックス製造プロセスにおける破壊源形成過程を追跡してその生成原因を解明し、次に破壊源が強度特性に及ぼす影響を直接的に検証して挙度変動の原因を解明し、さらにまたは開眼形成防止法を提案して、セラミックス製造工学の革新に資することを目的に、アルミナセラミックスの加圧成形による製造を対象に研究を行った。その結果、破壊源が顆粒の不完全な潰れにより生じた顆粒界面の不均質から生じることを始めて直接的に明らかにした。また、それら破壊源が、シミュレーションによりセラミックスの強度を支配する因子であることも明らかにし、破壊力学の正当性を始めて構造面から実証した。これらの研究とあわせて、評価法をさらに改良してセラミックス内部構造に関する知見をさらに高度化した。それら新規な評価法を用いて、粉体処理条件、スプレードライ条件、加圧成形条件、環境因子、焼結条件、加工条件等、破壊源形成に及ぼす種々の因子について、その形成に及ぼすメカニズムを検討し、それらを制御することにより、工業原料を用いたアルミナセラミックスとして従来の約5割高強度の、平均強度500MPa、ワイブル係数20程度をもつ高強度・高信頼性アルミナセラミックスを得た。これらの成果は、国内外の論文22報として公表した。
