o" is the primary data indispensable to the study on the literature of the late colonial era as well as "Keijo Nippo" which was its sister Japanese newspaper. "Reference to Articles concerning literature of Mainichi Shinpo (January 1939-December 1945)" was written based on the microfilms of the newspaper, which significantly clarified the movements of the Korean literary circles and the activities of the Korean writers at the close of the colonial era. It can be said that the initial aim to clarify the relation of the Korean Modern Literature with Japan by accumulating the separate studies on the Korean writers and works was achieved to a certain extent. However, there still remain many other writers to be taken up. Although we traced the footmarks of the Korean writers while they were in Japan and collected any related materials in this study, we feel it necessary and urgent to continue this study, since the related materials have been lost day by day and the living witnesses have been decreased year by year.
