| Research Abstract |
1.「近代のセクシュアリティの創造と「新しい女」-比較分析の試み」(『思想』886号、1998年)の英訳を、日本文化研究所Gaens,Bart氏の協力を得て行った。
2.『近代日本のジェンダー』(三宅義子他編、明石書店、2001年5月刊行)に、「日本近代のフェミニズムの再検討」を発表した。この論文では、19世紀末から20世紀初頭における参政権運動をはじめとする第一波フェミニズム運動について日本とアメリカを中心に分析し、それと「新しい女」現象との関連について検討した。
3.2000年7月24-26日に Manchester Metropolitan University(英国)で開催された'Feminist Forerunners : the New Woman in the National and International Periodical Press'Symposiumに参加,"Ambivalence of the New Woman in Modern Japan"報告を行った。
