| Research Abstract |
G型肝炎ウイルス(HGV)の民族疫学について解析した結果、健常人におけるHGV陽性率は、いわゆる先進国では1〜1.4%であったのに対し、発展途上国では8〜14.6%であった。これら諸国から収集したHGV株の塩基配列を決定し、分子系統樹解析にてゲノタイプ分類を行った結果、ミャンマー、ベトナムにおいて、既知のHGVゲノタイプには属さない新たなゲノタイプを分離し、4型と命名すると共に、全長遺伝子からなる塩基配列を決定した。次いで1〜4型HGV株に特異的なプライマーを設定し、PCR法による迅速ゲノタイピング法を確立した。この方法を用いて、世界12ヶ国の異なった民族から収集したHGV感染血清235例のゲノタイピングを実施した。その結果、1型は主としてガーナ、2型は米国、スペイン、エジプト、ネパール、ミャンマー、3型は日本とボリビア、4型はベトナムとミャンマーに分布していた。さらに肝癌組織を用いてHGVと発癌との関連を検討したが、肝癌組織内におけるHGV RNAの存在は確認されなかった。
