Research Abstract |
94 subjects after CVA (25 after infarction, 20 after stroke, 8 after subarachnoid hemorrhage, 5 thalamus hemorrhage, 3 putamen hemorrhage) were tested with 14 tasks for uni-lateral spatial neglect. The results were independently rated form "0 (none)" to "5 (extremely severe)". The agreement of ratings (reliability) ranged from 82.5% to 100%. Data were analyzed with factor analysis, after principal component analysis and varimax solution. Two factors were Extracted, and each percentages of contribution were 24.8% and 24.2%. The first factor was composed of "copy of Kanji characters", 2bisecting four lines", "drawing", copy of four cubes", and "erasuring of numbers". The first factor reveals "processing image" factor, for the images of target stimulus were relatively concrete in these tasks. The second factor was composed of "erasuring figures", "copy of series of figures and characters", "completing line Drawings". The second factor reveals "searching process", for target stimulus were arranged at random in these tasks.
