Research Abstract

本研究の目的は,リー群上においてリーマンゼータ函数をとらえることにある。勿論,リーマンゼータ函数は本来は有理数体上のきわめて自然な数学的概念である。しかしながら,その解析的(つまり量的)な挙動には,波動的な性質があり,且つ素数分布論の古典的なとらえ方と符合する。このことは,本研究代表者の発見した所のものであった。さて,この波動は,モジュラ群上のカシミール作用素の固有値と厳密に関係している。逆にいえば,モジュラ群の上にリーマンゼータ函数は生息すると考えることが出来よう。さらには,モジュラ群に関する保型函数と,リーマンゼータ函数を「直接」にむすぶ関係が存在するはずである。この目的を業績表の第2論文によってついにはたすことができた。結果は,MPIM-Bonn, Math. Forsch. Oberwolfachにおける国際研究集会において招請発表(ともに1時間講演)された。
