Research Abstract |
The aim of this work is to analyze the reactions (a) γ + d → K^+ + Λ(Σ) + N (b) γ + ^3He → K^+ + Λ(Σ) + N + N (c) e + d → e + K^+ + Λ(Σ) + N (d) e + ^3He → e + K^+ + Λ(Σ) + N in a unified manner and to obtain the information on the production process of K^+ and the hyperon-nucleon interaction. We analyze especially the reaction (a) for a wide range of outgoing kaon angles and momentum calculating hyperon polarization, asymmetry of photon beam, and double polarizations of beam and recoil hyperon. We find that the cross sections and polarization observables are sensitive to hyperon-nucleon final state interactions around the Λ and Σ thresholds. The double polarization observables C_z is in particular sensitive to the interactions. This work also analyze d(e,e'K^+) reaction, and find the final state interaction effects are visible for appropriate value of momentum transfer Q^2 and outgoing electron angle θ_e. We also investigate how to introduce a quark-cluster model for the hyperon-nucleon interaction into these precise calculations of few-body systems, and succeed to find a way to incorporate the RGM kernels into these calculations.
