Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to investigate the psychosocial variable influencing the consciousness and behavior towards sex and reproduction, and to clarify the factor reducing unintended pregnancy and abortion. The study was composed of two parts as followed. Part1. Developing an attitude scale toward sex and reproduction that comply with Japanese culture, and evaluating the reliability and constructing validity. Part2. Examining the relationship of the consciousness and behavior towards sex and reproduction and psychosocial variable among students and married. The results showed as followed. Part1. The scale composed of three attitudes toward sex, contraception, and abortion with thirty-four items was developed. Part2. Psychosocial factors composed of attitude scale toward sex and reproduction, partner relationship, sex role attitudes scale, self-esteem and contraceptive self-efficacy. The factor that influences the consciousness and behavior towards sex and reproduction of the students and married of the reproduction age group were cleared.
