Research Abstract |
In 2000, we conducted field research on how socio-technological networks in scientific and technological practices is organaed. For example, we surveyed on the lab of engineering science and the department of repair engineering in corporation by ethnographic method. In 2002, we expand research site to a research organization for science with high energy accelerators. The field survey was focussed on the operation room of accelerators. In the operation room, various researchers from wide range of speciality would gather and communicate each other in orderto operate accelerators. By doing so, they would organize a network and understand the whole system of accelerators through the network. In 2003, we conducted a field survey on the process of making a TV program for science education. We found out that making a TV program for science education can be regarded as making linkage among stuff of producing a program and scientists. Further, scientists attempt to translate their research to students in designing experimets for a TV program. The practice of making a TV program for science education shows a concniete model for making networks between school and scientific practice.
