| Research Abstract |
無視できない非応答(nonignorable nonresponse)を応答変数(徒属変数)または共変数(説明変数)のどちらかに含んだロジスティック回帰モデルは1996年からBaker, Chen, Clifford, Fitzmaurice, Heath, Ibrahim, Laird, Lipshitz, Zahnerらによって研究されている。本年度は、データを用いてこの方法のもつ応用上の可能性、推定上の問題点などを探った。応答変数に無視できない非応答がある可能性を考慮したパラメーター推定方法を多項累積確率のロジスティック回帰モデル(プロポーショナル・オッズ・モデル)に拡張し、これを米国Consumer Reportsの自動車の信頼性データ(much better than averageからmuch worse than averageの5段階に分類されている)に応用した。この結果Consumer Reportsの編集する自動車の信頼性データに対しては信頼性の低い自動車の所有者からの回答がより多くの割合で含まれている可能性が示唆され、また販売台数の少ない自動車は信頼性データが欠損している可能性が高いこと存在しないことが確かめられるなどこの方法の有用性が示された。これが研究発表欄に掲げたPricing automobiles to refelct their perceived quality differential in the U.S. automobile marketという論文である。
