Research Abstract

本年度の総括班では、特定領域研究「A01茎頂-根端軸の形成と維持機構」と「A02放射軸、背腹軸、左右相称性の形成・維持機構」の研究環境の整備および領域発展のために、以下の事業を行った。
1.平成16年1月26-27日に班員全員の研究成果の報告会を京都にて行い、研究成果について討論するとともに、班内の共同研究も含めた今後の研究の方向性を検討した。
2.班内のコミューニケーションをはかるために、FAS Newsを6号:研究組織および班員名簿、7号:平成15年度研究計画、8号:平成15年度事業報告、9号:平成15年度成果報告要旨、10号:平成15年度成果報告集の計5号を刊行した。
3.班内及び広く成果を社会に還元するために、本特定領域のホームページの更新を行った。
4.平成14年12月1日に「クロマチン修飾・RNAiによる遺伝子発現制御と発生分化」のワークショップを名古屋にて開催し、今後の本領域での当該分野の取り組みについて討論した。
5.同年10月16-18日に淡路島で本領域の後継者の養成を目指して、若手研究者を中心とした若手ワークショップを開催した。50名を越える若手研究者の活発な討論があった。
6.平成16年度研究計画発表会に合わせて、総括班会議を開催し、領域研究の現状の分析と今後の方針について討論した。
7.遺伝子研究の進展のために、遺伝子導入用のベクターの配布を支援した。
8.本領域研究全体の本年度の成果として、cell,Nature, Science等の著名科学雑誌に、多くの論文が掲載された。
