Research Abstract |
1. Effects of globalization : (1) It is pointed out that there are two types of globalization, that is, MNE oriented and people oriented and that the latter is increasingly important. (2) Using notion of global labor value, exploitation among regions is discussed. (3) FDI by Japanese companies causes export promotion effect, export substitution effect and reverse import effect. 2. International Adjustment accompanied with Globalization : (1) Effects of sanction on trade negotiation is varies according to the government's and people's preference on liberalization. (2) Using CGE model, trade liberalization cause less expansion of wage differentials than expected. 3. FDI and Economic Development : (1) Using dual economy model, the industrialization develops more, if price of modern sector is higher relative to that of traditional one at the early stage. (2) When technology gap between FDI firm and recipient country, wage gap between skilled and unskilled labor may reduce.
