Research Abstract

We investigated the possibility that meltig slag from municipal solid waste(MSW) and wasted plaster board(WPB) was able to be used effectively as soil improvement materials and admixture for a cement.
1.valuation of MSW as a concrete admixture
MSW slag powder (blaine's specific surface area=3,920cm^2/g)made by coke-bed melting processes was examined. As a result of the research, the strength of the concrete using the slag showed over 50MPa, and it became clear that the slag could be utilized to the high strength concrete.
2.valuation as a soil improvement materials
Result of mix proportion test for volcanic cohesive soil, mix proportion of high strength was cement 10〜15% MSW 45〜60%, consequently the effectiveness of the MSW dicine was able to be confirmed.
And WPB was especially effective to soil improvement of high water content soil.
