Research Abstract |
This project aims at design of multi-dimensional variable digital filters for image and its application to adaptive signal processing. Listed below are major results of this project: (a) This project presents the steady state analysis of the p-power algorithm for an adaptive IIR notch filter with constrained poles and zeros for the case when p=3 and the sinusoidal signal is contaminated with additive Gaussian noise. (b) This project proposes a new approach to design variable IIR digital filters by using a cascade of N identical individual filters of any order n. (c) This project proposes a design method of 2-D variable IIR digital filters with high frequency tuning accuracy. In the proposed method, a parallel complex allpass structure is used as the prototype structure of the 2-D variable digital filters in order to obtain low sensitivity characteristic
