Research Abstract |
The results of this research are briefly shown as following. 1.A new cultivation method was proposed In die new method it was suggested what sowing way is suitable to robotics and when it is best time to thin seedling. Radish growth was also investigated by using the new method to thin seedling, compared with traditional cultivation. The result showed that the new method had no adverse effect on radish growth. 2.To compare with the traditional cultivation method, the new cultivation method could save about 75% of thinning-labor. 3.An algorithm, based on the OTSU's automatic thresholding method, was developed to acquire the binary images, using the information of ExG(Extra Green) and brightness of radish seedling images. 4.We took a projection of the binary image onto horizontal X direction, particularly calculated the summation of binary image's pixels on the vertical Y direction. And then using the summation, the radish seedlings that should thin out, are determined Finally, the experiments performed on 439 radish seedling images taken from the field, showed the proposed algorithm is effective for about 97% of total images. 5.The algorithm proposed is not only useful to discrimination of radish seedling, but also to many lands of vegetable seedling.
