Research Abstract |
The purpose of this research is to clarify the approval factor of electric power industry before World War II by the public management of the mountain village. In the result of a current research, the management of electric power industry by the municipality is not assessed. Because, the manager does not have earning by electric power industry. However, the view was wrong. I researched the approval process of electric power industry by the municipality in Gifu Prefecture. It was clarified that there were two types of electric power industry by the municipality in Gifu Prefecture. The first type is electric power industry established for the development of industry in the region at early time. In Gifu Prefecture, electric power industry was managed by the municipality for the silk-reeling industry and the pottery industry. The second type is electric power industry established for the development of the region at late time. All of this type do not have backwardness. In Miya-village, electric power industry had been approved by the property in the region and resident's autonomy.
