Research Abstract

It aimed to obtain the material in the aged society for the interior color plan. First of all it was understood that the desirable image for the living space is not too different between the elderly and the young. Therefore, when space planning was done, not especially needing consideration by designer's age became clear about the image setting.
As for the image of the color, a different part between the elderly and the young was seen. Then the image of the arrangement of color room was caught.
In the impression evaluation received from the color of the sofa and the color of the wall, the elderly likes the interior based on blue with high brightness. However, though it is not possible to say it is a preferable arrangement of color, because it is not liked by the young, it is thought that this kind of color can be used for facilities whose majority of the user is only a senior citizen. When the hue of colors of the sofa and the wall is yellow red, the young and the elderly highly evaluate d the evaluation factor. Therefore, it is considered that it is the effective arrangement of color in the space that a lot of people use.
In addition, it has been understood that the basic image judged that the elderly is desirable is "The arrangement of color is good", "It is bright", "Settle down", "The balance is good", and "I like the color", etc. Moreover the image "It is bright" and "Settle down" is strongly related. It is understood to pay attention to "Combination of the syngeneic colors", "Color of the sofa and the floor", "Color of the wall and the sofa", "Color of the sofa", and "Color of the wall and the floor", especially the color of the sofa as a concrete content. The young person is greatly relating the image "Settle down" and "It is warm" though it doesn't change greatly the based image. The young judges desirability by overall color "Union feeling" and "Combination of the syngeneic colors", etc. while the elderly pays attention to the color of a concrete part.
Therefore, it was clarified that the evaluation of the indoor color is different between the elderly and the young.
