Research Abstract |
The flexor reflex model by noxious stimuli to a hind foot was developed using the rat under urethane anesthesia as an analysis model of a pain. Namely, the pinching stimulus to skin and the flexor reflex reaction according to capsaicin injection (CAP) into an artery generally was regarded as EMG, and it quantified by changing it into an integration value. Moreover, from the susceptibility over the local anesthetic and opioid drugs of noxious stimuli evoked reaction, it checked that it was the reaction of pain induction nature, and it was shown clearly that it is useful as an pain analysis model. rence was especially observed in the reaction style between these parameter(s) clearly at the time of un-stimulating and a stimulus. When power spectrum (PSD) analysis of the R-R interval of an electrocardiogram and systolic blood pressure was performed, a difference did not have private seals among both -- the peak of a low frequencies and its density are mostly in agreement with the peak which synchronized with breathing in the time of un-stimulating and a pinching stimulus. However, at the time of the CAP injection by which a strong sustained pain is evoked the fall of the power density of a peak and the rise of the power density of low frequencies, which synchronized with breathing, were observed. Blockers of sympathetic and parasympathetic nerve attenuated PSD of the low and high frequency at the time of a stimulus and un-stimulus. The CAP injected group strongly with both blockers similarly influenced PSD. This means that CAP drives the autonomic nervous system strongly. Moreover, a possibility that such a difference could be caught by the property of pain which animal receives was also suggested, and it is shown that it is effective in observation of autonomous system dynamics.
