Research Abstract	本「分子ナノ工学」研究拠点の本拠となる「早稲田大学ナノテクノロジー研究センター」棟が、平成13年10月末に完成し、設備等の搬入、つなぎ込みが同11月から開始された。また、第1回公開シンポジウム「分子ナノ工学の構築とマイクロシステムへの展開」を、平成14(2002)年1月28日(月)に開催した。このほか、今年度は、各メンバーおよびその研究室員相互の理解と連帯意識を高めるため、研究打ち合わせおよ月例研究会を行ったほか、各グループ毎の研究を進めた。 [ナノ物性制御グループ] 1.シングルイオン注入法(SII)の改良の結果、ビーム径が50nmから20nmへ、照準制度が100nmから60nmへと改善された。この成果は本年度導入予定のSII2号機の設計に生かされた。 2.ダイヤモンド表面のナノ改質を試み、酸素および水素終端による絶縁性、p型半導体性の作り分け、単電子トランジスタ、およびチャネルを液体電解質に露出したトランジスタの各動作、に成功した。 3.性状制御ナノ構造配列による生体分子固定条件の探求を開始し、PN接合フォトダイオードを作り込んだSi表面に発光を触媒する酵素を固定し、失活なしに機能させることに成功した。 4.33台のPCからなる並列計算システムを完成させ、新たに開発したランダム酸化シミュレータを用いて、6690原子からなる大規模系のシミュレーションを開始した。 [ケミカルナノプロセスグループ] 1.電解および無電解めっき法による超高飽和磁束密度軟磁性膜およびスパッタ法による高密度磁気メモリデバイスに適した人工超格子垂直磁化膜の作製および微細構造解析が予定どおり進んだ。 2.超小型軽量高密度電源の開発を目指したリチウム金属二次電池およびリチウムイオン二次電池の電解質材料の設計提案および作製も予定どおり進んだ。 3.メソポーラス薄膜の合成法に関して、再現性良く調製できる段階に達し、また、メソポーラスシリカ粉体に既に錯体や色素の導入等を開始した。 4.分子径、分子形状および分子表面特性の異なる高スピン高分子を触媒・重合条件などの精密な制御による合がほぼ計画通り達成された。 [バイオマイクロシステムグルーブ] 1.希士類錯体を蛍光ラベル剤として用いるための基礎的知見がひととおり得られた。 2.マイクロシステムでの1分子検出技術開発の基礎研究を行い、熱応答性高分子のゾル・ゲル相転移を用いることにより、従来の微少バルブによる流体制御より数十倍以上も高速なスイッチングを可能にした。 3.生化学反応場制御マイクロセルの設計、およびシミュレーション技術の基礎的検討を行い、生体分子搬送用イクロフローセルについては庄子と船津との研究協力により,メチルセルロースをキャリアとして用いた基本的システムの製作に成功した。また,反応場制御マイクロセルの温度分布シミュレーション技術も確立した。 [ナノ理工学基礎グループ] 1.従来のFN理論では考慮されなかった放出金属表面の形状を取りこんだ解析的表式の導出に初めて成功し、現実の実験を精度良く再現した。また、量子カオスの問題では、量子領域では広がっていた事象が、プランク定数を実効的に小さくして行くと局所化し,古典的振る舞いにクロスオーバーすることを明確な形で示した。 2.巨視的コヒーレンスの微視的理論の研究では、巨視的波動関数をメゾスコピックスケールでの量子力学的振舞とみなし、非線形励起の有効質量、励起エネルギー、トンネル確率などを理論的に求めた。 3.ゼロ次元ドット・量子細線ネットワークの構造精度の向上の研究では、まず、量子ドットを二次元格子状に配列する技術を確立できた。また幾何学的形状によって決まる表面張力が、選択エピタキシャル成長にどのような形で関わるかを明らかにした。
