原子炉ニュートリノによるニュートリノ振動パラメータの精密測定

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

＊近距離ニュートリノ検出器のデータ収集と解析．
H26年度後半に近距離ニュートリノ検出器の建設とコミッショニングを終了させ、H27年初めから物理データの収集を始めた．H27年度は、このデータ収集を続けるとともに、キャリブレーションデータなどを使い、データ解析の準備を行った．生データから物理解析ができるデータに変換するプロセスを開発し、解析を行い、H28年3月に近距離検出器と遠距離検出器のデータを用いた、初めてのθ13の高精度測定結果(preliminary)をモリオン国際会議で発表した．結果は、sin**22Th13 = 0.111 +/- 0.018 である．これはダヤベイの先行結果とは、1.6σの確度で離れており、ニュートリノ振動研究のコミュニティへの大きな問題提起となった．今後は、測定精度を改良し、この問題を追及して行く．
＊エルゼビアが出版する Nuclear Physics Bの、2015年の梶田教授、マクドナルド教授のノーベル賞受賞の記念号へ、末包とBezerraが、ダブルショーグループを代表して寄稿した．ダブルショーの物理結果と原子炉ニュートリノによるθ13測定の歴史についての論文を投稿した．
