Outline of Annual Research Achievements

高齢者は、慢性疾患が加齢とともに増加するがそれを有していても、基本的日常生活動作をできるだけ保つことが重要である。慢性疾患やADL障害は精神的な状態に影響を与えるが、社会的なつながりを保つことが重要である。また、社会的なつながりをサポートすることによって、精神的な状態を保ち、基本的日常生活動作を維持することにもつながると考えられる。しかし、地域在住高齢者における、基本的日常生活動作、精神的な状態（GDSやQOL）、社会的なつながりのお互いの関連を調べた論文は乏しいである。
台湾・台南市D町の医学調査への65歳以上の地域在住高齢者の参加者は149名で、男性68名、女性81名、平均年齢75.4歳(最高齢101歳)であった。149名の高齢者うち地域のつながり信頼関係は、Social Cohesion and Trust(SCT:3項目、3-15点）を用いて評価した。年齢、性別、基本的日常生活動作（ADL）、抑うつ状態（GDS）、地域のつながり信頼関係（SCT）と主観的幸福感（Subjective Happiness）との関連を調べた。
SCTは、他の高齢者総合的機能指標(特に身体的能力)との関連が比較的弱いにもかかわらず（去年度の研究報告）、ADLやGDSと独立して、高齢者の主観的幸福感と地域のつながり信頼関係との関連があると明らかにした。
本年度の結果から台湾・台南市D町高齢者の「主観的幸福感」を考える場合、年齢、性別、基本的日常生活動作、抑うつ状態以外にも、地域のつながり信頼関係も重要であることを明らかにした。
一人暮らし世帯が増加し、地域のつながりを再構築して高齢者の社会的孤立を解消するためには、超高齢社会を迎える台湾が、コミュニティを構成する人々の主体的なコミュニケーションに基づくコミュニティの「地域性」を取り戻すことが、21世紀の新たなコミュニティデザインが重要と思います。
