Research Abstract |
This research aims at the institutionalization of social researcher and constructing the base of social research by examining the present condition and many problems of social research education in Japan. Japanese Certification Board for Social Resercher made a start by cooperation of three societies, the Japan society of education sociology, the behaviormetric society of Japan and the Japan Sociological Society, in November 2003. This resesarch contributed greatly to the realization of the qualification system of social reseracher at the following four points. 1)We collected volumes of the generalized information of social researches and made a data-archive about the good social research data that is referred to and also released it on the internet (http://srdq.hus.osaka-u.ac.jp/). This archive contain not only the generalized research information collected in conventional databases, but also the tabulation results of the research only with an Internet browser. 2)We made a standard educational program of socail research in order to realize the qualification system of socail researcher. Asking a lot of specialists' opinions and suggestions in social research and taking complement relation between qualitative and quantitative investigation, the standard curriculum was accomplished. 3)An ethical code of social research had not been made. Asking a lot of specialists' opinions and suggestions, we made an ethical code and released them on the site of internet (http://www.soc.nii.a.cjp/jcbsr/). 4)The survey data about socail research practice in university were analyzed. Analyses made the present condition and problem clear and explored the possibility of exteriorizing and collaboration in social research. According to these output, we declared some suggestion to perform social research practice efficciently.
