Research Abstract |
Main results of the present study is as follows: 1. Salt water of high concentration has a stable intrusion shape in Lake Shinji and the Ohashi River. But, the salt water at the inlet of Lake Shinji mixes with ambient water and changes its concentration. 2. The lower layer of Lake Shinji is about 50cm in thickness. The interfacial slope of the lower layer is estimated from the rise of water surface by wind. 3. Water of Lake Shinji tends to discharge out under any weather conditions. Amount of discharging water is nearly equal to discharge of the Hii River. 4. The formation of density interface is seen when water level of Lake Shinji is higher than water level of Lake Nakaumi. during the time of low atmospheric pressure. 5. One of reason why water of Lake Shinji become oligoaerobic is an inflow of oligoaerobic water from the Ohashi River.
