Research Abstract |
We devised a new analysis using root mean square of integrated and subtracted fluctuation, termed RIS-A, to determine a fractal dimension of non-stationary fluctuation. In the algorithm, computations of the root mean square, R(n), of all integrated and subtracted fluctuations are repeated over all scales (n). The fractal scaling exponent is determined as a slope of the line relating log R(n) to log n. Furthermore, we analyzed a long non-stationary time series, such as fetal heart rate fluctuations.
