Research Abstract |
To investigate the curriculum structure about communication and medical interview in medical schools in Japan, the authors asked 80 medical schools to return the questionnaire about communication related educational programs and send syllabus of these. We got responses from 59 medical schools (collect rate: 74%). Using the ACESS as a database soft, we analyzed these responses. City University School of Medicine, Fujita Health University School of Medicine, Kagoshima University School of Medicine, and Hyogo College of Medicines We discussed on communication education with medical educators of theses schools. We also investigate on educational goals in undergraduate medial education in U.S.A., Canada and U.K. using Internet. There have been significant differences in educational goal between in North America, U.K. and in Japan ; for example, bad news telling and patient support. We compiled a repot from above results, and sent it to faculties of health science in Japan.
