Research Abstract |
At the beginning of the research, basic considerations were made in the following three aspects : (1)communications in DSM (distributed shared memory) multi-processors, (2)grasping program behavior in binary-level multithreading, and (3)FPGA-based reconfigurable computation. We could recognize actual communications by (1), and we made basic considerations on program behavior. Conducted by the early results, we could reach our core concept "Meta-Level Computation," that observes the behavior of whole system and then re-configures it both by software and hardware. Under the Meta-Level Computation concept, we then made two concurrent considerations on node-level program behavior and system-wide network behavior. And, as initial considerations for autonomous processes, we discussed some class of multi-agent systems and fault-tolerance problems in large -scale systems. As a result, we proposed a new class of routing algorithm "Cross-Line," which collects the network's own status and determines routing of packets.
