Research Abstract |
The oscillating current in the plasma can generate the emission of radiation. Because the electron plasma wave in the plasma oscillates with the plasma frequency, which is proportional to the square root of plasma density, we can expect the high frequency radiation from the plasma. However, the emitted radiation is strongly damped due to the cutoff. We applied the magnetic field to the plasma and we observed the radiation with pulse duration of 200ps and in the microwave frequency region.
