機能性微粒子の高精度集積化法の開発および新機能発現

Research Abstract

研究計画調書にて、"2成分系での微粒子3次元組織化による新規結晶構造フォトニック結晶の作製"を目標に掲げ、さらに、"面心立方構造以外の結晶構造作製(NaCl構造等)を目指す"と具体的な構造も示した。
この目的に添い、本研究により、2成分系でのNaCl構造の作製に成功し、さらに、基板上にそのNaCl構造体のパターンを作製することにも成功した。自己組織化プロセスによりNaCl構造などの非最密充填構造を作製した例はなく、本研究により初めて実現された。NaCl構造作製だけでなく、その2次元パターン化に成功したことは、当初の研究計画立案時には、実現が大変困難と考えており、研究計画に盛り込まれていなかった目標であるが、研究進展が予想を上回ったことから、本研究期間内に実現が可能となった。この手法は、コロイド溶液の乾燥および移動過程における粒子の振る舞いを巧みに制御したもので、全く新しいコンセプトに基づいた新規手法である。これにより、最密充填構造あるいはNaCl構造の粒子細線アレイ(粒子細線を等間隔で並べた構造体)や、粒子構造体の任意のパターンを作製することに成功した。下記論文にて発表を行い、さらに詳細を投稿中である。また、本研究に対して下記賞を受賞し、特許出願準備中である。

また、粒子集積体を基板上の任意の箇所に作製する"コロイド溶液モールド法"を開発し、粒子集積体パターンを自己組織化プロセスを用いて作製した。さらに、この手法にて粒子集積化プロセスを制御することにより、最密充填粒子構造体パターンだけではなく、非最密充填構造である四角格子からなる粒子細線の作製にも成功した。この非最密充填構造は、面心立方格子等の最密充填構造とはことなり、自己組織化プロセスを用いて作製された研究は報告されておらず、本研究により初めて作製されたものである。下記論文・特許にて、コロイド溶液モールド法を発表した。
