Outline of Annual Research Achievements

Prostaglandin endoperoxide H synthases (PGHSs)という金属酵素の模倣化合物として成田らにより発見された鉄錯体を用いたヒドロペルオキシ化反応の機構を検討した。まず、配位子から鉄ヒドロキソポルフィリンへの分子間電子移動が起こりラジカルが生成する。その後、1,4-ジエンからの位置、および立体選択的HCラジカル引き抜きが起こり、続いて酸素と反応するという反応機構が提案された。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

現在、計算には密度汎関数法と、UFF力場を組み合わせて用いている。将来的に金属酵素の反応への展開するために、タンパク質の記述に優れているとされる分極可能力場との組み合わせも検討する。
