Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to develop the individual implant treatment to clarify the correlation between insertion torque and bone quality and determine design of the superstructure and assess quantitive observation of peri-implant bone stracture with time. This study suggests that significant positive correlation were found between insertion torque for bone mass and elastic modulus as evaluated by intraoral radiographs and this evaluation technique may be used to simply and quantitatively to anticipate implant primary stability prior to implant placement. Moreover regarding design of the superstructure, the cusp angle is observed, tensible force produced in abutment was able to be clarified. Thereby, manufacture of the superstructure in consideration of the biomechanics of each individual was attained. To the next we test the possibility of evaluating serial change in peri-implant bone structures by examining structural parameters in intraoral radiographs. This study suggest that changes in peri-implant bone structure can be evaluated at intervals by monitoring the changes in structural parameter of trabecular bone as recorded in intraoral radiographs. If changes in structural parameters of the trabecular bone caused by excessive loading on implants are clarified, loss of osseointegration may be anticipated by monitoring the changes providing more predictable implant treatment.
