Research Abstract |
The eating style changes gradually by influence of social background in age. It is a big problem to establish the correct eating habit by changing inappropriate eating habit to correct direction while knowledge of the correct eating habit is spread. We conducted the research of drinks in Tokyo, Aomori, Shizuoka, Hanshin area, Okinawa, women university students in China. Mongol and South Korea, who have shared a custom of drinking green tea, for the purpose of inferring change of Japanese eating style and its cause by looking into drinking of the green tea, which is a traditional drink in Japan. In Okinawa, people drink oolong tea the most, but they have short history of the green tea. However, currently high school students in Okinawa do not drink the oolong tea much, and they rather drink the green tea. Its drinking rate was higher than that of Hanshin area and Shiga Prefecture. The drinking rate of the green tea in Shizuoka where the green tea is produced was highest in all ages, and it was related to the fact that it was produced there. Among young people, the drinking rate of the green tea in Tokyo was high, but most of the young people drink barley tea and middle & old people drink the green tea. In addition, young people tend to like tea, middle & old people tend to like the green tea, and those between them tend to like coffee, which means that drinking rate and its taste were different among ages. The women university students in China and South Korea drink water the most. In the meanwhile, in Mongol, students in areas other than Ulan Bator drink the green tea the most, but those from Ulan Bator drink the green tea and tea the most. In addition, it was indicated that the drinking among young people was changed from green tea to coffee and tea.
