Research Abstract |
This research consists of two parts : (i)boundary area between production economics and DEA, and (2)game theory and DEA. Regarding the first research objective, we studied scale economies and congestion. For this purpose, we succeeded in defining the degree of scale economies in the non-parametric framework and showed that a negative degree of scale economies indicates congestion. So, we completely solved this problem. This results were published in EJOR (2004) paper. Furthermore, we investigated cost efficiency of Life Insurance Corporation of India using the new cost efficiency model developed in Tone (2001) JOR paper. The results were published in SEPS (2005) paper. As a combination of DEA and AHP, we applied them for a comparative site evaluation study for relocating Japanese government agencies out of Tokyo and fixed two most promising sites. The results were published in SEPS (2003) paper. This paper raked as the 16^<th> in Top 25 Hottest Articles in SEPS. As the second research subject, we incorporated the basic concept of DEA into cooperative game theory and created DEA Game. This scheme can contribute to make a consensus among players under multiple criteria environment The results will be published in Omega (International Journal of Management Science).
