Outline of Annual Research Achievements

観測的研究では、「ひとみ」衛星搭載硬X線望遠鏡の性能を衛星立ち上げフェーズのデータを使って評価し、衛星軌道上でのエネルギーに対する有効面積、結像性能が要求性能を満たしていることを確認した。また、ユーザーに公開する応答関数の作成作業では、地上試験をもとに作成した応答関数を使い、カニ星雲のスペクトルを再現できることを確認した。2016年12月を持って作成作業を終了し、応答関数を2017年秋に公開する予定である。これらの応答関数に関連した研究を研究会や学会等で報告した。現在、論文として公表するための準備中である。「ひとみ」衛星のデータも解析し、２編の論文として公開した。AGNの研究では、シミュレーションベースのモデルを広帯域スペクトルに適用し、この結果を論文として投稿した。この他にも研究成果を論文として発表している。
望遠鏡開発研究では、前年度確立した吸湿対策をもとに、この対策を施したウォルター型CFRP基板を製作した。この基板上での母線上での形状誤差は1ミクロン(RMS)以下であり、レプリカ法を使って成膜した反射面の表面粗さも0.5 nm以下であった。吸湿試験で吸湿対策の有効性を確認するとともに、吸湿対策の反射鏡への影響がほとんどないことを確認した。
反射鏡の位置決めに関しては、前年度出た平板を使った位置決め法での課題への対応を実施し、2μm以下での位置決めが可能であることを示した。これと並行し、ウォルター型基板に対する位置決め法の課題抽出用のスタディを実施し、課題の抽出を行なった。CFRP反射鏡のハウジング構造がペタル型となり、ASTRO-H搭載用のものと異なるためにSPring-8にて結像性能試験を実施し、結像性能の評価手順の確認と課題抽出を行なった。今年度、明確になった課題への対策を次年度講じる。

Reason

年度初めに立てた「ひとみ」衛星搭載硬X線望遠鏡の衛星軌道上での較正試験をすべて予定通り実施し、成果を学会等で報告した。「ひとみ」衛星を喪失したが、硬X線望遠鏡の軌道上での性能が要求性能を満足していることを確認できたことは、日本での望遠鏡製作技術が確立できたことを示すこととなった。また、科学的な成果に対しては、「ひとみ」の結果を発表するとともに、活動銀河核に関する成果を論文として発表した。
望遠鏡の開発でも、予定通り吸湿対策を終えるとともに、吸湿対策を施した基板への反射面の成膜を行なった。これと並行して、反射鏡の固定法に関する開発も予定通り開始し、課題抽出等を行なった。
研究成果を１４編（査読あり８編）の雑誌論文として発表するとともに、２件の特許出願、学会・研究会等での発表も行なっていることなどから、「おおむね順調に進展している」と判断した。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

ASTRO-H衛星は、衛星の運用を断念せざるを得ない状況となったが、X線カロリメータで取得した高エネルギー分解能のデータが存在している。このデータを用いた解析を行い、高エネルギー分解能観測の感触をつかみ、現在検討中の代替機（X線カロリメータ搭載予定）でAGNを観測したときの検討を行う。これと並行して、当初から計画していたシミュレーションにおいて、コンプトンショルダーを含んだ鉄輝線形状を再現するモデルを整備し公開するとともに、シミュレーションモデルを観測データに適用し、AGNの構造解明を行う。
望遠鏡開発研究に関しては、開発項目である「高精度基板への反射面形成法の確立」、「望遠鏡ハウジング内での反射鏡基板の位置決め法の開発」を引き続き実施する。開発自体は、後者の開発項目にシフトしており、簡易望遠鏡を製作し、実験室にて可視光簡易評価を行った後、SPring-8または宇宙研等でX線評価を実施する。この開発では位置決め法が鍵となるが、昨年度と今年度で取得するCFRP平板を用いた位置決め機構に関する知見をウォルター型CFRP反射鏡に適用し、本研究の目的であるウォルター型CFRP反射鏡の複数枚積層のための位置決め機構の開発を実現する。
