Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
During FY2017 the filter cavity was assembled and aligned on both the green beam produced with the second harmonic generator and the infrared beam of the main laser. Then the cavity was locked to the resonance of the green beam. Finally the difference in frequency between the infrared beam and the green beam was tuned so to have both beam resonant in the filter cavity at the same time. In these conditions the optical losses experienced by the infrared beam in the cavity were measured and found to be consistent with the simulation done beforehand. A paper has been written on this result and it will be submitted to a journal soon. In parallel all the components for producing the squeezed vacuum state to be injected into the cavity have been built and assembled.
