Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究の目的である、3種類の光源における実験と分光モデルによる重元素多価イオンの極端紫外（EUV）スペクトルに関する分光データベースの構築に向けて、研究協力者の小池（上智大・客員教授）およびO'Sullivan（University College Dublin・教授）を加えた研究体制を構築した。分担者の坂上が担当するコンパクトEBIT（CoBIT）装置において、新しい軟エックス線CCDカメラシステムおよび高分解能回折格子を購入し、これらを組み合わせた高精度分光光学系の設計・製作を行った。代表者および分担者の田村が担当するLHD装置では、平成29年から予定されている重水素ガスを使用する実験に備えて遮蔽構造の検討作業や遮蔽材の準備を進めた。分担者の東口（宇都宮大）が担当するレーザー生成プラズマでは、ランタノイド系元素のうち7種類のターゲットについて、Nd:YAGレーザーおよび炭酸ガスレーザーを集光照射して分光計測を系統的に行い、EUVスペクトルデータを取得した。理論計算との比較に関して、分担者の村上や研究協力者との打ち合わせを開始し、いくつかのランタノイド系元素に関して、Hullacコードによる原子構造計算の初期的な結果が得られた。代表者がEUV・軟X線光源に関する国際ワークショップに出席し、本研究の進展状況に関連して口頭講演を行った。

Reason

コンパクトEBIT（CoBIT）装置における新しい高精度分光光学系の準備が、当初の予定通り、本年度中にほぼ完了した。これにより、今後タングステンやビスマスに加え、ランタノイド系元素等に対象を広げ、高分解能EUVスペクトルデータを取得するための準備が整ったことになる。また、レーザー生成プラズマにおいても、多くのランタノイド系元素について、今後の解析や理論計算との比較を進めるための基礎となる、系統的なデータが取得できた。LHD実験については、予期せぬトラブルにより本年度の実験は中止となったため、新たな分光データの取得は出来なかったが、重水素ガスを用いた実験に向けた遮蔽材等の準備はおおむね予定通り進んでいる。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

コンパクトEBIT（CoBIT）装置では、整備された新しい高精度分光光学系を活用して、既存の分光系でも観測を行ったタングステンやビスマスに加え、ランタノイド系元素にも観測対象を広げ、光学系の性能を確認するとともに、分光データベースの蓄積・拡張を進める。LHD装置では、平成29年3月から予定されている重水素ガスを用いた実験においても分光データの取得が出来るように、遮蔽構造の設置等の準備を着実に進める。分光モデルの高精度化に向けて、各元素の原子構造計算や衝突輻射モデルによるスペクトルの計算を本格的に開始し、これまでにLHD装置やレーザー生成プラズマで得られたスペクトルデータとの比較検討を進める。
