Outline of Final Research Achievements |
By developing experimental methods such as pump-probe ion measurements and laser-assisted electron scattering using intense ultrashort pulsed laser sources and by using theoretical methods represented by the extended multi-configuration time-dependent Hartree-Fock method, we have unveiled sub-femtosecond ultrafast dynamics of atoms and molecules in intense laser fields. We have clarified sub-femtosecond molecular dynamics such as intramolecular hydrogen-atom migration in organic molecules, affecting the electronic excitation processes in the sub-femtosecond time domain.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
