Outline of Annual Research Achievements

炭素豊富π共役分子の一,二,三次元集積化と,その機能に関する基礎研究を行い,その結果,ハイブリッド型太陽電池開発,低分子有機固体レーザー,薬剤輸送システムへの応用研究へと展開した.以下主たる研究成果について記す.(1)有機酸を用いた鉛ペロブスカイト結晶成長の配向制御と太陽電池への応用:有機無機ハイブリッド型太陽電池の活性層である鉛ペロブスカイト結晶の作成時クエン酸を微量添加することで,通常とはことなる立方体の形態をもった結晶が成長することを明らかとし,これを用いて作製した太陽電池は3割ほど光電変換効率が上昇した.(2)種々の発光色を示す有機薄膜レーザー:剛直π共役分子であるCOPVの長さを変えた誘導体を用いることで,分子長に応じた狭い発光波長域を持ち安定動作する有機薄膜レーザーの作製に成功した.(3)水溶性フラーレンを用いたsiRNA輸送機構解明:カチオン性フラーレンTPFEからなるsiRNA,血清タンパク質との階層的集積化による肺への選択的siRNA輸送について,顕微鏡観察および光散乱実験からその低毒性輸送機構について明らかにした. (4)導電性ポルフィリンナノファイバーの新規作製法:テトラベンゾポルフィリンを酸溶液に溶解して放置するだけで自発的に導電性のナノファイバーが形成することを見いだし,酸に応答した導電性スイッチングを実現した.

本研究で独自開発したπ共役化合物群がとる高次自己集積体について,新しい集合体形式や形成機構が次々と発見され,さらにそれらが生み出す特徴的な電子,生体機能も見いだされている.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

これまで見いだした炭素クラスター集積体の電子物性,生物活性を活かした機能性材料の開発を引き続き実施するのと並行して,より炭素豊富分子の特徴が活用された分子集合体機能開発も展開する.
