Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
As proposed, FY2016 focused on the applications of the philosophy of nothingness of the Kyoto School to the domain of human relationships. The PI published four journal articles (three of them international indexed journals), and published a translation of a book on ethics and religion. The PI also gave two academic presentations, one in Nanzan University in June, and a team presentation in Fukuoka in October. Both were international conferences hosted in Japan. Additionally, the PI gave two lectures to high school students in Kyushu (August) and Shanghai (March), in order to disseminate the research.
All of these results show that the ideas of the Kyoto School can be fruitfully applied to a new model of human relationships, which is particularly important in issues concerning education.
