Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Our team did an in-depth analysis of how 3D printing could be used for project-based language learning. 3D printing was introduced as part of in-class creative factory workshops in graduate and undergraduate English courses with assignments for computer science students to learn English, but also project management, design, analysis, and content management of visual data. We ran statistical analysis of how students felt about conducting analysis with 3D scanners, CAD design software, and technical documentation. We published articles in many conference proceedings and journals on 3D printing use for education, and for language teaching in specific. Interestingly, we also conducted international workshops and conferences focusing using 3D printing as the idea for new-age entrepreneurship.
