Outline of Final Research Achievements

We consider policies in service industries with firm location in the case where differentiation exists, vertical industries are considered, and long-term relationship among firms exists. Depending on regional intrinsic costs, optimal industial policies can be different. Difference in services is important for attracting foreign visiters. In vertical industries, policies reducing trade costs induces reshoring and increases economic welfare. Depending on demand and cost conditions, optimal industrial policies can be different. Under the long-term relationship, collusion can happen, and optimal industrial policies are different depends on whether collusion occurs.
