Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は、研究分担者の望月氏により、次のような宇宙際Teichmuller理論の拡張が得られた。もともとの宇宙際Teichmuller理論は楕円曲線に付随するGalois表現の像が十分大きい時に構築されていて虚数乗法を持つ楕円曲線は対象外であった。けれども、適切な修正及び拡張(アルキメデス版のエタールテータの理論)により、虚数乗法を持つ楕円曲線に対しても宇宙際Teichmuller理論が適用できるようになった。これにより、宇宙際Teichmuller理論と虚二次体の指標に対応するDirichlet L関数の零点との間に初めて結びつきが得られた。
