形と機能から探る放散虫の系統進化学的研究

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

放散虫の系統関係を検討する優先順位として，多節ナセラリアの中からはEucyrtidium属を，閉室ナセラリアからはTurbocapsula属を選び，集中的に研究した．Turbocapsula属の系統進化については，チベット南部のセクションにおいて，形態形質が系統的に変化すること明らかにした．この進化系統をもちいて，放散虫化石帯の整備も行った．検討した分類群のうち，白亜紀古世の１新種（Turbocapsula tetras Li and Matsuoka）および１新亜種（Turbocapsula costata multicostata Li and Matsuoka）を記載した．
検討したEucyrtidium属２種（Eucyrtidium hexagonatum HaeckelとEucyrtidium hexastichum (Haeckel)）の殻形態の違いである殻孔の配列パタンは，中生代の多節ナセラリアの分類基準を適用すると科のレベルの違いもつ．また，仮足に代表される軟体部の形態にも明らかな差異が認められる．その一方で，分子生物学的検討からは非常に近縁であるとの結果が示されている．殻および軟体部の形態と分子生物学的なデータとは必ずしも整合的でないことを示す一例を示すことができた．
沖縄近海の表層海域に生息する放散虫29種について，カタログを作成した．1種につき1葉からなるカタログは，放散虫生体の光学顕微鏡写真，殻の光学顕微鏡写真および殻の走査型電子顕微鏡写真を含む．今後，現生放散虫を研究するうえで利用価値の高い基本データになると期待される．
新潟県糸魚川地域の礫岩中の珪質岩礫から，古生代シルル紀の放散虫化石を見いだした．これは新潟県最古の化石である．日本列島の含放散虫礫としても最古の記録である．

Reason

チベットの白亜紀放散虫の研究成果および沖縄の現生放散虫についてのカタログについては，すでに論文が印刷された．チベットの新生代初期の放散虫の系統進化に関する論文も受理直前の状況である．したがって，計画以上に進展していると判断した．

Strategy for Future Research Activity

本研究課題のもう一つの柱であるマイクロCTを使った形状認識については，海洋開発研究機構（JAMSTEC）や新潟県内の工業試験場などの機器を利用する道筋がついた．それらの装置も活用しながら，形態解析のデータも蓄積していく方針である．

今年度大量のデータを取得し，次年度に人件費としての使用が見込まれたため，使用を抑制したため

Expenditure Plan for Carryover Budget

画像データを含む多量のデータを整理しつつ，野外調査および室内作業を進め，最終年度の研究を実施する．
データ整理のための人件費，国内外のフィールド調査および学会のための旅費，論文作成のための経費などとして使用する予定である．
