Outline of Final Research Achievements

In the import of frozen vegetables, Japan has been depending on China. However, China decreases a share for Japan conspicuously in late years. Therefore, this trade is approaching a turning point. Under these circumstances, in the present study, I clarified the next point.
I clarified the cooperation among developmental importers and domestic manufacturers. Moreover, through this discussion, I also found the fact that developmental importers have a positive impact on the performance of domestic manufacturers. As a result, recently leading developmental importers have served as major market channels for those manufactures handling domestic products. Besides, I elucidated the actual situation of supplied frozen vegetables that leading developmental importers added it to the tradition production era of the coastal place and went into the inland.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

国内製造業者に対して大手開発輸入業者がプラスの効果を与えていることが解明されたが、この研究結果からは、農林漁業の振興や農山村漁村の活性化において6次産業化や農商工連携等が推進されているなか、その新たなアプローチ方法として専門性を有する輸入業者の機能の活用が有益と示唆される。また、経済環境の変化が著しい中国に過度に依存することへの警戒から、製造業分野では同国以外にも拠点を有すべきという観点で「チャイナプラス１」という用語が存在するが、内陸部への広域化という研究結果からは、農産加工品の場合、伝統産地の沿岸部プラス他国となる前に、伝統産地の沿岸部プラス内陸部の新興産地という段階の存在が示唆される。
